I’m loving every moment of your flights Darren. The narration in flight is priceless. Could do with more volume from the vario as it’s a real education on how you read and map out the thermal. It’s been a while since I’ve flown and I must say what you are doing is very inspiring. Well done Darren!

VFR rules is 300m off the cloud vertically...

My favorite gloves for warmer weather were chain saw gloves. They had thick rubberised strands in them ,crisscrossed throughout. Unbelievable grip. they were good for maybe +10 celcius . Any colder than that and I would use heavier gloves.

Hi, I used to fly in the Britsh League with the likes of Gordon, trevor Birbeck, robbie wittal, darren arkwright ect, ect, european leg Piedriahita spain, unfortunatley buggered my back at work requiring operations so went to micrilighting (700 hours) now live in spain, its brought back many happy memories, still a lifetime honorary member of the Cumbria Soaring Club.
